Dear Mayor/Councilmember
As you know, a committee organized by the County Council and the Logan City Council has been meeting in recent months to consider a countywide library system. We thank those local elected officials who returned surveys to assist us in this assignment.
We now have a set of documents which describe what a countywide library system would look like, what state laws are regarding such, what would be the cost to implement a system, and how this would affect your community if you chose to participate in this organization.
We would be happy to come to one of your future council meetings and explain this to you further and respond to questions and inquiries you might have. If you wish to extend this invitation to our committee, please contact the committee chair Jay Monson at 752-7256 or monson.jay@gmail.com.
If your community has a library, we also encourage members of that board to attend the meeting. Of course, citizens at large may also attend.
